AGAIN in States of Play at the Humber Street Gallery, Hull UK City Of Culture 2017

Wednesday 28th June 2017

AGAIN features in the upcoming exhibition States of Play which launches at the Humber Street Gallery for Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and will be on show from 7th July - 24th September 2017. The exhibition challenges the idea of play as a preserve only for children and presents play as a way of being, of understanding the world and giving it form.

Over the course of States of Play over 10,000 hand made ceramic coins will be distributed to visitors to play the customised arcade coin pusher stocked with terracotta, porcelain and 24ct gold ceramic wealth. Visitors are left with a choice as they enter into a wager into the artwork: keep their winnings, or risk them again in the machine.
